Hello,

I am trying to create a game in which we can't control the hero manually. Everything is automatic (travel, fights etc ...) and i want to know if it is possible with MV or with a script ? Because I have not seen anything about it and script like "YEP_Eventchaseplayer" work only with monsters .

Thank you and have a good day!

yes, but you most probably looked in the wrong parts.

It is done by events, and is usually called a cutscene (where the player is moved by set move route).

For battles, you can either give the actor the autobattle trait or (because the autobattle AI is very sinple) use troop events and force actions.

Other solutions are also possible, but they depend on what specifically you want to do.

Thank you for your answer Andar,

The idea would be to react the hero based on its environment

If the hero see a tree, he will cut it.

If the hero sees a monster, he will fight against him.

If the hero has few points, he returned to the village.

If the hero sees a monster and a tree, it will kill the monsters and then cut the tree.

I do not know if this is possible with events only

different question: if the hero acts automatically, what does the player control?

The reason is that for something like this, you basically need to restructure and partially inverse your logic.

So basically not the hero reacting to the tree, but the game mechanism that places the tree will also command the hero to cut it when it is placed.

Everything else is too complex to program, and usually not neccessary because the control that sets both hero and event can handle it without difficult detection routines.

what does the player control?

> The cursor of the mouse (A "god"). You can help the hero with the cursor by different ways, it's look like a populous (if you know this great old game) with a rpg logic. You can help for cut a tree more quickly, kill the monster, use special god skills, choice skills for the hero, use special items for teleport the player on special zone like dungeon, choice equipment etc...

On my journey of character rework: I had this character, she was meant to be just a princess that joins your party. And at long term she was just uninteresting... So I tweaked her to be a rebel agaisn't the royalty before meeting up with the party.
