Hi there i have a question about Airships and their settings for passability, I`m trying to make an area inaccessible for airships(and boats) but i cant seam to find a way(i am using mode 7 but that should not interfere if i`m right)

Using blank events is not working since the airship seams to ignore all passability checks(also its a relaly ghetto methood to use events for it due to map size)

Sorry if my question seams noobish, i am new to rpg maker but i learn quick, so any help whould be appriciated.

(really hope i`m posting in the right topic, i dot want to make the admins work any harder.)

It's because, when you're in the airship, 'through' is turned on. So none of the map passability checks are done.

You would need a script that modifies the Game_CharacterBase to still do a check, maybe based on region id, for the player when in the airship. Does your Mode 7 script alter any passable? methods?

Thanks, as i read your reply i realised i just need a region check cript, with that i can set up 4 different regions(north east west south) and have an event trigger upon tuching the region like entering the east region the event triggers that says "this area is a no fly zone" and than move the player a few tiles west, wich is even better.

So it seams the regions are overwriting the passability checks.

Thank you for the help!

*Mod please close this since its solved.

I do have a script that lets you call a common event when the player is either facing, or on, a tile with a specific region code. This might suit you, if you haven't already found something to do it:

Region Common Events

You wouldn't even need a different region for each direction. Just one, and do a Set Move Route (1 step backwards). As long as there are no little "cavities" where a step backwards might make them move into a no-fly area as well.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
