    Hi there,

    Here you can find some of the resources I am making for my survival horror game (lets say I took a long break from game making...). Old resources are just GIMP edits while newer are pixel art.
    Currently I am making graphics with a new technique - a combination of 3D modeling and flat pixel art textures (no light, shading information). The results are nearly identical to RTP style ;) It took a lot of time to create such setup. Most of the work is spent doing 3D presets, then I make pixel textures for them and render.

    - Hand Grenades:

    I have noticed that there are no hand grenades available as a SV weapon... So I have tried a very basic approach, using "Swing" motion (as we have no throw). A single hand grenade at a right time in a right place can make all the difference!

    1) F1 hand grenade
    2) RGD-5 hand grenade
    3) Smoke grenades (4 colors)
    i) Blue
    ii) Green
    iii) Red
    iv) Yellow

    Weapon Add-Ons!


    Now, here is something new. Would you love to customize your gun, without the need to make 100s of graphics of the same weapon? Here is one way! Basically I will be creating packs of different extras / mods for specific weapons, on a similar weapon-like 3x1 cell rows. All you need to do is copy/paste from the add-on into weapon sheet.


    Tutorial:

    1) Download the weapon image you want to use (3x1 cell, not limited to mine ones but you have to re-scale and re-position)
    2) Download Zip pack and extract - inside the folder are PNG and XCF files, the later are for GIMP which I use
    3) Open PNGs of the weapon and add-ons with an image editing program of your choice (use GIMP for XCF)
    4) Copy and paste required add-on images onto weapon image sheet, as it is (in some cases, you have to do minor adjustments, like removing muzzle flash effect)
    5) Export as PNG or overwrite weapon PNG. Done!

    Note: You can mix and match different add-ons on different weapons, but you will have to do more adjustments

    The largest characters which are "Voltoric"-big angry aliens scale about 50 pixels high where as Humans and most others are about 40.


    Credits won't be much of an issue- I especially welcome supplying credits to make end game credit screens look much more expanded ;)

    @FarenhiteGR64 Oh man, thank you, I knew I messed up the info somewhere. Have to be careful with Wikipedia. Any recommended website with reliable info on guns, including model varieties? Will correct!

    Can I Suggest making the Super Kriss Vector/ W addons such as grips, extended mags etc. I would suggest maybe making seperate scopes and addons onto standard weapons as an optional thing?


    Also do you intend to make the M870 With Grip and folded stock?

    Ye, that's a good idea, I was thinking about making that eventually :) Will need more knowledge about weapons... 


    So again, I liked RE idea of weapon modification. 


    I will add cases with weapon parts and  weapon add-ons corresponding to them ? You will need to combine them with weapon, unless some plugin exists...


    Things to make:


    - Scopes


    - Magazines


    - Extended grips


    - Extended barrels? 


    - Mounted grenade launcher, flame thrower?


    @Skurge I can do this weapon as a request
