Legacy of Zatir, puzzles and some battles in between.

This is the project in which I have recently been investing my time. At the moment, it is at a fairly early stage, with just the introduction and a little beyond that.

Synopsis

Despite being in an early stage, I have a story planned for this title.
The player will enter a perverted, depraved and full of lies world around him. He will be in search of the origin of all the evil that has taken over his world. The player does not remember the events of the past, since he was born some time after the chaos reigned over the lands where he lives, however, the intrigue touched him and made him undertake his adventure, in which he will participate in evil deeds and disasters that occurred before the fall of the former king of those lands. As the player progresses, he will notice how the character becomes more analytical, desolate and philosophical.

For now I will not give many details, because some things need to be arranged in the story to be finally complete.

Due to my inexperience with battles, I have decided to focus the game on the puzzle side. However, it includes battles that will be necessary to define certain events in the game and to advance in the game. At the moment, the game has two puzzles and one battle, so it still needs many more things to add, polish and improve.

Here I leave you a video that I have made recently, I have recorded everything I have done in the game so far. Obviously, it retains some bugs which I will fix later (along with some other bugs found during testing).

I have uploaded the link to Mediafire, to make it easy to download. If this project comes to fruition, I will probably upload it to another platform to get better recognition. For now, it's fine to leave it on Mediafire.


Additional notes
1. I was a bit inspired by the story of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, that's why I chose to name my game that way (Legacy of Zatir).

2. English is not my native language (I speak Spanish), however I'm looking for support from English speaking communities because I didn't get much support in my local communities. Any recommendations about grammar and spelling would be of great help.

3. This is not my first game, but it is one of the first ones I have put in public and I am planning to finish it. My previous projects were cancelled or abandoned, due to lack of ideas and other personal dilemmas.

I love puzzle games, specially with adventure and action in those when

The title sounds interesting, maybe I will have it in count to make a prequel of Legacy of Zatir.

I am doing my best to make intriguing puzzles in the game! For compensating my lack of experience in the battle system, working on the history and the maps would make a balance in the game. Thanks for your comment! :kaojoy:

I like the puzzle games too!
That's why I decided to make my own game, based on adventures and puzzles, with an intriguing history. If you have any recommendations about interesting puzzles or another type of advice, I would appreciate it too much! :D

I see what you have, while I use 2 nice puzzles, 1 very complex one and
challenging :) (not seen anywhere yet) but it is also not really smoothly yet,
so I need some more checks to make it fully working.

but while there are lots of puzzles, you can adjust it, but the one I have
is a unique piece, the other one that has dynamic water draining system is
from the sun, but some mechanics isn't seen either, it might exist, or it might not.

but when times I allows it, I see what it has done.

as a sideNote though, try to avoid MediaFire (it opens 1 or 3 windows), where itch
does not, or dropbox/google drive.

but keep it up at least :)

Sounds interesting! I will take in count the two puzzles that you said to me, maybe make an own version of them with my unique style. Also, I was thinking to add some secrets to the game (secrets that improve the stats of the player. Example: a secret room that contains a rune of mana, or a secret puzzle that increments the Max HP of the player).

i never make fun of depressed people because even i feel it too. i know this feeling will go away but when im not at work or working on something i dislike very much the dark thoughts that enter my mind. big family definitely helps me not feel alone wen they get home tho , so thats good.
my inside A2 page is at a full rough draft now, as is my inside B page. Inside A4 has most of the walls I am using but is only about half full, and I have just started a rough draft of an inside C page.
My older brother and his family are arriving tomorrow from America for a holiday her in England. Been many years since I last seen them. Happy times.
