Oh yup, right, well thats the thing, i was using the assets as research, not assets for my stuff. More so as a base to look at and be influenced by. But sure yup, noted..
Yeah, right i can see that, people claiming others work as their own. That is scumbag.
As an artist myself, im never for straight bites. Influence is another thing. Its a fine line.. But, theres a difference in straight up copying and being able to see where someone got influenced. Which it sounds like you understand.
Now, im actually wondering about my avatar... I mean it is a exdeath rip. I cut it out and put a white boarder on it. I dont claim that i made the base image. I just think it looks totally badass n want to look at it more. I havent seen any comments on it. So im assuming its fine.
Another thing I want to bring into question is appropriation. Do yous have a stance on that? Its like a murky line i feel.
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
