RMMV An Idea for a commutative effort

My idea is that people can make up a story

A viewer feed?

I start a little story the player plays but stops and whoever wants to continue they will comment on here

an example they (the ones who see this post) can put in whatever they want a character in even story but plz one thing at a time I'm at control here and plus I have a plugin that "updates" the game so the player doesn't need to worry they will just have to do anything but open it.
There will be camo of me to let you know that the game is updated in case your wondering

Also, it would be better if you elaborate more on your idea, it's still too vague for me to personally answer. People can make up the story? What do you mean? How do you plan on implementing that? You should give us some concrete examples.

The thing is that depending on the level of control it can mean a lot of different things. For instance, being able to modify characters' name is pretty easy. Adding in-game choice is still doable, making each choice impact the story is doable but A LOT harder (since there's so much more content to create because of the branches). At a certain, if you can create everything in the game, including the story, well that's a full on simulator game (which is VERY hard to make). Just add to that that you can customize the database, create villages, modify the game logic, and you basically have RPG Maker.

That's why I asked for some precision. Do you mean that the player can impact the story by the choices he/she is making?

oddly yes you must input your suggestion in the box(here on post)
everyone on here can put a suggestion it can be one theme like a character or more like where is the main character is going and what is going to look like

In that case can I start? A farmer boy and his dad went off looking for firewood, but then in the forest they find a strange box that can't be opened. Then some royal guards arrive at their home...

Yeah I think he's gonna make a story based on a comment chain in this thread, then he's gonna update his game accordingly. @PixeLockeT

In that case, can I start? A farmer boy and his dad went off looking for firewood, but then in the forest, they find a strange box that can't be opened. Then some royal guards arrive at their home...

nice dedication but don't start now. This is an idea I want a good ok from lots of plp
the start of the story is there and that you posted.... will now be saved for later and maybe changed
Also, @marsatche you can put your character in if you want because I'm just going to use generic stuff

I still have my doubts on how it will be done, but I suppose it could end up being a unique idea. Everything is in the execution.

I've seen a lot of these threads over the years, where one person says they will create a game with many people posting ideas. I'm not sure if one has ever been completed or not though... If so, I'd like to see it.

To expand on OP idea: Maybe instead of just taking ideas from many people, you could pass the project around to everyone who wants to contribute. Each person get a set amount of time (like a week) to create one smallish map that they continue the story on. Like 'Pass the Story' or 'Build the Story,' whatever it's called.

since pass the 10th and the poll is a tie. I'm not going with it I was planning to do a Livestream even. That idea could work but I want everyone to chip in even the ones that don't have rpg mv.
