Well, I'm kinda dabbling into graphics myself, but at the moment I'm just trying to correctly align parallax graphics to fit into an actual tileset. However, I can't download Gimp or anything, so I'm limited to MSPaint, and an online program called Sumopaint, which is kinda like Photoshop but with a lot of the features removed.

In short, the programs I can access don't have a grid display, which is making things really awkward for me. Soooo, basically all I want is a blank grid that I can use for a template. Just a simple black and white 32x32 grid (Obviously with the gridlines being black.) to use to get everything lined up correctly. Would be very much appreciated.

Oh, and it doesn't matter what size the grid is. Um, whatever's standard for a tileset, I guess.

MSPaint does have a grid display. Click the View Tab, and then check the Gridlines box. BAM grid.

I didn't know that.

Tiles are 32x32 pixels... so a 32x32 grid is what you want.

Edit: Seems that Paint doesn't have grid configuration anyways.

I know the grid squares need to be 32x32, when I mentioned the size, I meant the overall size. So for example, it would be a 200x600 grid consisting of squares that are 32x32. If you get my meaning...

But yeah, if anyone could just supply me of an image of a grid for tilesets, that would be great.

Here you go. Sorry grid lines are not all in black, but I already had these made up.

can do what spaz gave ya or

A1-A4 and B-E are 512x512

A5 is 256x512

if you want the numbers.

its best to split the tile sets in half collum wise as in organization. if you put all tiles you want on the first half 8x512 , and then put rest 8x512 on the other side of the 512x512; then you have big tile set pics won't get cut in half and end up lower down. Unless it is one big tileset then there is no hellping it:p

spaz? Er ... thanks ... really ...

He's not asking what size they have to be. He's asking for a grid, preferably in the appropriate size, with 32x32 squares marked off. Which is exactly what I provided ;)

You're welcome :) Glad it'll be of use to you. It's been sitting around on my PC, feeling a bit neglected lately.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
