Animated Tiles (any kinds of animated floor)

Recently, I watched Contra (JAP version of NES) and I'm very inspire of the animated floor at the last stage, Alien's Lair.

The veins is pulsing, pumping like the floor is alive, and glowing. I think the best way to make floor animate is create event and use character (floor).

Here, I'm looking for someone who already made animated tiles/floors like the game shown. Or like glowing tiles too. Take me to threads who posted their animated tiles.

Reason: I'm interested. I wanna make my own too for further new project.

Heads up, you've already made this request before. You should get a mod to close one of the threads.

Rather than making it an event, wouldn't it be better to make an A tile? They're animated, and autotiles, making it ideal for an animated floor. I think it would also help to prevent your game from being so covered up with events that it becomes hard to tell what's a floor and what's a useful event.

That said, I've never seen anyone use them outside of water, so there's no other examples I could send you outside of the rtp. Here's a tutorial on how to make them though. It's for VX, but the principle is the same.

I second what Rhino had said, it would be much better to make it a A tile, it would take the place of one water tile. You can always switch the passability settings so it acts just like a floor. If you already know how to animate water, animating pulsing veins and such would be the same too.

That said, I have an animated version of the demon/organ floor tile on my thread here that you can look at as an example.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
