Hello there. I am putting in a request for an animation set for the VX ACE RTP Hexagram. I'm referring to the one in the dungeon tilesets. You know, the one that's 3x3 tiles. Dungeon_C.

In the animation, it should transition from the dull grey metal one, to the lit up, multi-colored one.

You seem to already have made the end points of the animation, can't you just make the mid points too?

You should be able to easily event this. Take each image and put it in a character sheet with, I believe, $ at the beginning of the name, and then have one event the dull one and one event the bright one. Set the bright one's opacity to 0 and lay it on top of the dull one. When it comes time to animate, just use a loop to increase the opacity of the bright one. since it's laying on top of the old one, you won't be able to see the dull one.

Sorry, I guess I meant to say an event set. Characters, that sort of stuff.

And technically, I didn't "make" the start and end points of the animation, they were already there to begin with.

That would work in a short term, @Zalerinian, but I think what might work best is, instead of just a simple fade in, is to have the hexagram light up in segments. So, in other words, the outer circle would light up, then the two triangles inside that help to make up the hexagram. And maybe some sparkly blue effects around the end of the event set. A full trace out would also be cool, but that might require a lot of sprite work.

If I wanted to just have it fade in, I suppose I could have done it myself. Apologies for not being more precise.

@katcrazy111 Make sure that you have the image that you can see in post #6, you need all 4 directions. Use the 'Set Move Route' command on the second tab of the Event Command Menu.
Make sure you have selected the event with the image. Then put in the moves
Turn left
Turn right
Turn up

It's the same basic pattern as with a door.

EDIT
Just noticed that you wrote of 'looping' animation. If you want it to repeat then do the moves like this.

Turn down
turn left
turn right
turn up
turn right
turn left

Then check the box for 'Repeat'

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
