Animation Advancing upon Activation

Hey, I'm trying to make a campfire that is lit once a player chooses yes or no (if no then it doesn't light) but the campfire is instead turning on before making a decision, is this because it's on the same image? If so is the only way to solve that by separating the states of the campfire onto different files or am I missing something obvious?
I think the campfire was originally for Ace and I resized it for MZ. !$PW-Fire01.pngRPGMZ_CBUg7HuDTN.png

It's turning on because you interact with it. You don't have direction fix enabled, which makes the campfire "turn" towards your character, which is usually the lit up sprite.
