Hi, im triying to figure how to make a plugin or a modification to show an animation when the player saves the game instead of the instant save process that maker mv uses for default.

In detail:

When you select your save file and pulse OK to save it, i want to show an animation, some examples of this happens in Xenogears for psone.

I made a gif from that reference to show what im looking for:

Animated_Save_Example.gif

Like in there, it appears a bar filling up...

I would be very grateful if you could guide me to achieve it

So you basically want a fake loading screen?
Yeah, basically that, just an animation, but in that specific moment, maybe a call to a common event should do it , but i dont know how to code it :aswt:..

Mog hunter has one. can be found here
this is excellent to make the "scene or animation at issue ", but it works via event or plugin command only; and my question really is:

how do i link this "scene", to make it happen when te player select his save file and push the ok button just after the ok button is pressed, in that specific moment i want to show this.

i found a plugin made by izyees , "Izys Common Event On Load" This do the work at the load scene, but im loking for something similar that let me do this in the Save scene, just after the save slot is selected and the ok button is pressed.

I played a game that used this plugin on saving the game.
you might when you saved the game, this is loaded first, than it saved.

it might be a way to save the game in a different way, but its possible.
if I still have the game that use this, I can try to figure it out.

this can be used in many ways though.

I still have the game that I was playtesting, can be found here.
If you can figure it out, enjoy the way, else I try my best to figure out
how he/she did it for you.

I only know the plugin name, but I saw it used in 4 different ways so far.
but that game uses it for save scene.

EDIT:
so far I can seen, it called up when you click on save "Saving...." than save the game.
when you load the game, it shows "Loading ....." than you continue the game.

it might be the param when its called which you have to check out.
if you want a very specific saving, I would try to overwrite the save scene
or use a save point, than use a autosave feature plugin and alter that one.

TSR_Save can change the look and have an autosave feature to call.
AES_Autosave is a small one, which can be called if you aim for that one.

for check points to save, you can alter it with a picture or animation upfront,
than save the game on the same slot they start with.

when you load the game, it loads up directly. without "Loading...." part which
is adjustable between 1-xxxxx frames (I wont do more than 3 seconds personally).

but thats up to you.

Savepoints would be easiest way, if you want to go to the save scene and select
the saveslot to save on, than fakeloader might help you. else see if you can call
save and call commen event and do the stuff.

in case you want a save in the menu and save over the current slot without going
to the scene_load, YEP_MainMenuManager can help you with at though, because
it can call a common event, so you can do it that way, if you want it otherwse,
and not the way mention above, I cant help you :)

ESAMarathon on Twitch, now streaming "Eat Girl". Yep, that's the title of a game... Apparently it's a Pacman knockoff.... Which is of course the only logical conclusion one would get from a name like "Eat Girl". :kaopride: I can't believe anybody would think anything else! :kaoback:
Super stoked i just finished my first town in my project, by finished i mean i can always add more decorative aesthetics and the NPCs don't talk yet but the mapping is complete and all the important chess pieces are present!
My brain: Hey, I have an idea how to make the transition to the main story quest in The Wastes more natural!
Me: Good!
My brain: You need to remake the hotel you start out in, it's not realistic enough.
Me: Ok... This was unexpected, but I can do it.
My brain: Now make each hotel floor 5 times as large to match the main part. Oh, you also need to make a bunch of new npcs to fill in the space on these maps.
Me: Crap.
Should be able to release Haxe MV/MZ next weekend.
It look that somehow MZ tracks are messed up (for example battle4 is obviously a theme, castle2 is a ship, ship1 is a scene and so on..). Maybe they just named them after with some ambiguity.
