To clarify - your profile says you use VX Ace, but you posted in MV Support. Which Maker is this for?

I've seen posts about this a couple of times, never with any kind of cause or solution. One poster said deleting that specific animation in the database and making it again worked.

OK, where exactly are you trying to use hue mathematics?

It might be that I'm blind, but I just checked and have found no place in MV animations where the hue could be used or set.

EDIT:
found it, and don't bother - that setting has absolutely nothing to do with the animation, if you refer to the "target" settings.

the target setting allows you to select any enemy as a placeholder target so that you can better place the animation, but the target is always a placeholder and neither saved nor used in any part of the game. It is always replaced with the true target enemy from the troop that the current fight is for.

as a result the selection window used is the same as the graphic selection for an enemy, but because the animation itself has no hue (it is only on the enemy picture), that part of the setting is completely ignored and never saved.

if you want to change the hue for the enemy, you need to go to the enemy tab and change it there, for the specific enemy using that graphic.

Dude, what are you talking about? :guffaw:

I absolutely use that hue slider on a bunch of animations. For me, it correctly changes the color of the animation in the editor and the game. But I've seen a number of threads where people report it doesn't display in the editor.

OK, I was blind - I looked almost anywhere else but not there.

New sprite in action! A-1-2 looks kinda goofy might need to upscale some of the tiles and decorations. And maybe change eliza's creepy laugh to more of a neutral mouth
