can someone point me to a tutorial on animation effects in VX ACE... you know, like the Attack visual effect, but I want to make different ones.

if there isn't one, can someone tell me how to set up the image for doing animations? like how to handle making frames for it?

I never found one, but what I did was i looked at the current animations in the editor, and then moved them to a new slot in the database so I could play with them. A few hours later I felt decent at doing this.

However, note that in ACE you have to program in the animation step by step. The animation sheet only shows all the possible effect that you may wish to add. All, some, or none of them may be used depending on what you program in the editor.

I thought so too, and if someone could find it again I'd love to see it myself. As it is, I've learned all that I know about them by ether exporting an existing animation then opening it in GIMP, or taking an existing animation and seeing how it does what it does step by step. In other words, learning by trial and error (and error and error and error).

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
