Hi all,
I'm troubleshooting an animation issue and I think I'm doing something very obviously wrong.
In the cutscene, the player throws a bottle and it explodes.
My solution has been the following:

So basically, move an off-screen bottle event to the tile one to the right of the player, turn on that event's image page, then have the event do a jump to the right, loosely mimicking a throw. Then, have an explosion animation play at the bottle event.
Everything works as intended except the animation. The bottle event is moved to the right spot, the switch activates its event page with the bottle image, it does a little jump which looks adorable, but then the animation (highlighted) plays in some far off spot. I've been troubleshooting for a long time now and I cannot figure out why it isn't playing anywhere near the bottle. In fact, I can't figure out where the animation is playing with any rhyme or reason -- it's like centered on the screen, a little higher than where the player is.
I have to think I'm missing something very obvious. If anyone can set me straight I'd be very grateful -- thank you! I'd be toast without you all
