Hello, I've recently downloaded the trial version of RPG maker MV to see if I want to do a final purchase. While creating my test level and sprites have not been a problem, I keep getting an error when play testing. The character I have in battle can flee and use items fine, but every time I try to attack, I keep getting "Failed to load: img/animations/Gun1.png"

I tried to give my character a gun weapon that would use the shooting animation, but to no avail. The battles are meant to be facing the enemy BTW, not side view. This also applies to other attempts like using normal weapons, but I get failed to "Failed to load: img/animations/Hit1.png" instead.

Are you using any plugins?

I've imported some of my own sprites, if that counts as a plug in.

No - plugins are plugins, not sprites. Through the plugin manager. Do you definitely have it set on the system tab to use front-view battles?

Can you please show a screenshot of your System tab, your Skills tab (with Attack selected), and your Weapon tab (with the equipped weapon selected)?

Also, is the Attack skill Skill #1? Or have you changed that? Skills #1 and #2 MUST be left where they are.

System tab?

Oh, wait - it's looking for Gun1 in the animations folder. That file should be there, unless you've deleted it or it's been corrupted. This is the animation that plays on the target, not the one that plays on the actor in a SV battle.

Check if that file is there (in img/animations) and if it's not, copy it in from the NewData folder wherever you have MV installed.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
