Any good dictionary plugin available?

Using MV 1.6.2

My idea is: when the player reads about something, or reads the name of a character for the first time, this term is added to a dictionary, accessible via menu (yes, lore). So, if he doesn't know about a rare item or a person, that name won't be in his dictionary.

Is there any plugin available to do it? I have the Yanfly's Main Menu Manager, but no idea if I can achieve something like this only using it. Thank you!

the 2nd link is better though, and its not java but javascript.
java is very different from javascript.

I tried the first one yesterday, it's a little confusing (each term in an external text file?). The second plugin seems very close to what I need. I'll give it a chance.

Thanks for the suggestion!

its very easy to use, can use variables inside it, escape codes, color the page, multiple
categories :)

Tried it, good option. If the creator is around, a suggestion: it would be perfect if we could add more terms to the dictionary, like characters and place, not only items. Anyway, I'll try a hidden item with the same name of characters.

like character meet? if so, you can make that.
<category: name> and your text, picture etc.
just make sure the item you place has the category correctly when obtained or gained.
you can make many categories though, you can even make a bastiary of it,
even an achievement system out of it, but need to be manually tracked,
same as for locations visits, you can add many pages to it, although, it is in
1 item so you cant seperate them unless you make more items for it.

if you use alot of item, you might come to short, if you have low item use for under 50 items,
it can be the nicest one out there. while it has escape codes, and easy to use.

external txt from Rem Dictionary is a txt file with all the info in there, but lacks
some features and is buggy.

If you aren't using it otherwise, you could probably repurpose yanfly's quest plugin to do this and the description box for each entry would even be updateable as the player finds new lore.

In fact I'm using Yanfly's QuestJournal.

The solution I found is not exactly elegant, but it works:

- install triacontane plugin
- set hidden items for each character I want in my dictionary
- whenever those characters name appears in-game, player get the hidden item too.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
