Any good ways to collaborate on a project?

I was searching a bit around about if there were any good ways to collaborate with a partner in making a project in RPG Maker MV, but i didnt find anything. So I was wondering if there were possible for us to work on this game at the same time? Is it possible to import another project file into another and merge them if your know what i mean.

Yeah kinda. So me and my partner can be able to work on different things in the game project at the same time, and then merge our work together.

This isn't specifically about MV. I am, therefore moving it to General Discussion, as it is applicable whatever engine you are using, and so is of wider interest.

I don't think there's a way to work on the project at the same time as your buddy (aside from being in the same room and taking turns) but usually Dropbox does the trick. Plop the game in there, share the folder with each other, and you guys can both work on it. When you save, it uploads what you changed to their version etc. Just don't try and work on stuff at the same time since one of your files will get overwritten.

So it wont be possible to merge 2 project files with each other? Or copy things from the other project file into the other one?

Merge, no.  Copy yes.

If you want to copy a map from one project to another, just make sure that you have e.g. Map0087 in both projects (one will be a blank) and simply copy the map file to the project with the blank version.

Copying database items - have both versions open and copy from one to paste in the other.  Or if it's a whole section, copy armor file or skill file, or animation file.

It requires a lot of care, but can be done.

I can certainly vouch for dropbox. me and my friend who is on the other side of the globe use it in our RPG project! 

But it looks like you've already found your solution tho lol.
