Oh, yeah, having Ringabel, Edea, & co would be cool, but again, probably pretty unlikely.

It just seems to me, as long as this game's been in development, I can't really shake the feeling that any property from the last two years (maybe even three) probably wouldn't make an appearance. Between making sure something is popular enough to include, licensing the characters, creating the models, etc.... I know they put in characters from TWEWU in DDD, but they felt sort of "tacked on" rather than actually integrated into the story. And with this being a "core" game (as so many gamesnobs insist any of the non-Playstation-console games are not) I don't *think* they'd do this with KH3.

But, I'm not ruling it out. And Airy would make a good villain, and there's already an element of dimensional travel in B D.

Pixar characters seems pretty likely, especially Toy Story. I think that would be damn cool. Possibly the Incredibles or Wall*E. Those would work well. We may even see Merrida turning her mum into a Heartless instead of a bear.

Yeah, I was disappointed that the only FFVI character to appear in Kingdom Hearts was Setzer. Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favorites, but the fact they only had one FFVI that had almost no screen time felt like a troll.

I don't think they'll add the Avengers, because of the graphics engine they're using. The original cast of the KH Universe can get away with it, because they are already cartoony, but to see a real life person like Downy Jr. in that engine would be horrifying. At best Star Wars might get a passing mention like a Gummi Ship model or a themed Keyblade.

As for FF characters I hope Bartz and Gilgamesh make an appearance. Bartz just because I think him and Sora would really kick it off together and Gilgamesh would make an awesome Super Boss to replace Sephiroth.

I don't know, Pirates of the Caribbeans clashed a lot with the art styles yet that made it in.

Jack Sparrow looked fine in KH2.

And there are already cartoonish versions of the live-action avengers on some other marvel games... or they can also just use the more original versions rather than the live action ones... Anyway, does Disney have ownership over marvel stuff?

Yep. Disney bought marvel a few years back. Fox owns the movie rights to the X-Men and related properties, so you'll never see Wolverine in the Avengers, and they had to come up with new origin stories for Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch for Age of Ultron. And I *think* there's another company which has movie rights for Spider-Man, but it escapes me at the moment. ThatOtherCompanyICan'tRemember doesn't own *all* the rights to spider-man, though, since Disney does a Spider-Man cartoon, and he is a character in the Disney Infinity games (along with the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and others--but none of the X-Men).

And since they also own the Lucas properties, an Indiana Jones level would be pretty cool, too.

1. I know. Doing that in Dissidia Final Fantasy was epic enough. He can be the next Sephiroth as far as i'm concerned.

Maybe someone's trying to completely sever the connections for good, Gummi Ship or no. Maybe the worlds are on a catastrophic collision course. Worlds are vanishing. New worlds appearing. Someone tries to convince Sora the whole thing is a delusion.

1. Can't think of a serious threat from worlds being connected. Oh wait, there's still the matter of Maleficent, isn't there....

2. That would actually be sorta good, as far as universal peace is concerned.

I think that one of Ansem's reports(the real Ansem, not Xehanort's Heartless) can give a stellar clue to what might make an interesting continuation.

When they said 'Saga', I'm more hoping that they'll reboot the series from scratch. It would still be Disney and Final Fantasy characters, but an entirely new cast of original characters.

That's just me though, I just feel KH focuses too much on the original characters, and they don't even focus on the few I actually like.

Unless things regarding Aqua, Terra and Ventus were fixed up in KH3D, that'd need to move along in KH3, absolutely, according to what was in the King's letter sent to Sora at the end of KH2, clearly the main villain of KH3 is going to be Master Xehanort. That, I think, will make up the core, or a large portion of KH3's story. Also more visits to Disney worlds, naturally.I would very well hope that at the very least, Halloween Town makes a return : D

Outside Squall and a handfull of Disney characters, can you name any plot important one?

How Kingdom Hearts tends to work (what I've played of it, at least) is that the Disney worlds are treated as filler. Very little in what you do in them affects the plot very little. The plot mostly moves forward at the end or between each worlds and mostly just involves characters that aren't even Disney or Final Fantasy. In fact, outside of Heartless none of the lore KH creates isn't even implied to Disney or FF characters. Why can't we see a nobody form of one of them? How come none of them has ever been a major villain outside of Maleficent? How come outside of Mickey we don't even see a keyblade wielder? That's because all those plot elements are given to the original characters, making the original characters (for the most part) the only ones that can drive the story forward.

Take Chain of Memories for being extremely guilty for this, outside of Donald and Goofy all the Disney characters are just poorly done abridged flashbacks and have absolutely nothing to do with the overarching plot.
