Personally I LOVED BBS. I really enjoyed how they connect that game to the rest of the series without it feeling tacked on. Plus the story was done well and made my friends take the series more seriously.

@Silentdarkness12 I completely understand where your coming from. The controls can be very frustrating, especially if you don't play a lot of action games. The monopoly game I actually quite enjoyed just because I like playing boardgames. It gave it a nice relaxing break outside of beating the crap out of the Unverse.

@UltimateFanBoy I didn't really like The Pirates of the Caribbean world. Personally just because of the models of the characters. It worked for Sora and Luxord just because thier style didn't different too much, but Donald and Goofy looked drained of life and the models for the other characters was "meh" at best.

Doe's anyone have any theories about the third game?

I'm sure the beginning part of the game will focus on rescuing Aqua so she can wake Ventus up from sleep. Although if this happens Sora might lose the ability to wield the Keyblade (It's been stated that Sora by himself is too weak to wield it) and Yinsid will be down one Keyblade Master to fight Xehenort.

Birth by Sleep is also a good one. It reveals the origin of the Heartless etc. A lot of story in that one. It also has the most annoying mini-game that is not optional to progress the story.

I really hope that's not the case. Really. My buzz will be killed so fast.
 How so?

Which mini-game was that?

Well seeing as Nobura said that you would only be able to play as Sora in KH3 so either they're going to go in a different direction then what I said or it's going to be a temporary thing. Like it's only for maybe a couple of cutscenes or you have to play a level where Sora learns his worth and he can become the 7th Keyblade Master.

Didn't care much for when a similar thing happened in KH1. the part where you basically just have Beast go and win all your battles for you. Smacks of changing the gameplay expressly for the sake of changing the gameplay.

@Clord Awwww I loved that mini-game! Or maybe because I played it for so long it gave me Stockholm syndrome. Same could be said about the Bonus Bosses.

I hear where your coming from. I actually liked that part because it showed how Sora felt powerless without his Keyblade and his friends and as a player you're suppose to feel like that through the gameplay. That's why almost all of the heartless in that level either had high resistance to magic, were hard to hit with magic, or could defend against magic in someway. And with having Beast with you, the game was emphasizing why friendship and teamwork was important.

I loved that segment in Hollow Bastion! One of my great thrills in playing real-time RPGs is seeing my AI party members doing useful things (which is why I hate what KH2 did to them...), and so it was absolutely amazing to watch the Beast just destroying the heartless with his big swipes and lunges. So satisfying, and it helped make the Beast seem like a very powerful ally compared to your past ones. I'd say that is one of my most memorable moments in the whole game.

I really don't like BBS though, because unlike Kingdom Hearts 1,2, and 2 final mix. You don't get AI party members. BBS only uses D-Link, and i max leveled every d-link because i'm playing on proud mode. In the other KH, you get Donald and Goofy, which makes your battle even entertaining. And if Sora's HP get low, i can just step back and eat popcorn while watching  Donald And Goofy fight.

Teamwork is working together to accomplish things. That segment has you being absolutely useless except to occasionally shove Ethers and Cure magic on Beast to keep his stats up.

Darn, i just cant get a 3DS to play DDD. I want to play that game (even if no one plays it anymore), while my mission is to tackle proud mode and critical mode.

Well that's what that segment was implying. Ignoring the part that Sora doesn't have a keyblade, going through Hollow Bastion would be tough by yourself. Without his friends Sora wouldn't have gotten that far. At that point of the story Sora was so obsessed with finding Kari and Riku he was putting himself and others in danger. So when the Hollow Bastion part comes up and Riku takes the keyblade. Donald and Goofy aren't too crushed with leaving Sora behind. That whole section with Beast is showing you why you can't do things alone and why friends are important.

I get that. The storyline reasoning is fine. It's the gameplay aspect of this that has left a sour taste in my mouth.

ME! I'm a HUGE KH fan. I think my Favorite one in the whole series is KH2FM or 358/2 days.

KH2FM is definitely the magnum opus of the series imo. So flashy, so epic. KH1FM was also quite good, but it had the tendency of being unreasonable at times.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
