Hello all. First of all Merry Christmas! 

As some of you (a few) already may know, besides game making I'm also an addicted to music (metal and rock mostly but all other genres too if the music is good). I play guitar and other instruments too and I also like to compose some songs. 

So, because of this, I would like to know if there is anyone else here like myself and if you were interested in discussing these subjects.

I'll start 

I do not like to divide metal music into a lot of genres because for me metal is metal. Though I do have some "sub-genres" that I prefer which are Symphonic Metal and Progressive Metal. I listen a lot to Gothic and Death as well. My definite favourite bands include Epica (my definitely favourite band), Opeth, Draconian, Nightwish, Tristania and Katatonia. I also listen a good amount of After Forever, Mayan, Porcupine Tree, with many many others in between.

My music composing is very influenced by Epica, Opeth, and Nightwish on the metal side, but also a lot from Pink Floyd (another fav) and a lot of other progressive rock bands from the early years.

Well, I think I said a lot already! What about you?

Favorite band ever: Pink Floyd

I used to listen to Metal too.

I am surprised you didn't mentioned Paradise Lost (search for the Draconian Times album) and I am also surprised you didn't mentioned Dream Theater.

Now I am on my early 30s so it is just natural (at least for me) to listen to something a little different.

So I listen to stoner, doom, drone, sludge and stuff like that.

Well like I stated, I do listen to a lot more bands.

Dream Theater and Paradise Lost should actually have been referred by me indeed, cause I do listen a lot of them too xD

And I do have Draconian Times CD in my collection obviously
