Not having much time these days, but yes, I admit I'm a bit of a Shin Megami Tensei fan, particularly the original SNES SMT series, Persona series, and Devil Survivor series. ^^

I admit that it's a bit of a freaky coincidence that I've just finished watching Persona 4 the animation when this thread popped up.

Not sure if it'll suit a lot of people's tastes. It was a lot like the video game itself with some changes to allow the animation to flow better in lieu of the dungeon crawling, fusions, relationship building mechanics present in the game.

I personally enjoyed it, especially the multiple persona summonings in the final episode. ^^

Contains Persona 3 Spoilers. Show at your own risk you have been warned.

I can say for sure that Persona 3 made me feel really bad. It broke my heart.

I mean, you defeat Nyx, you defeat Thanatos (death in Greek) but in the end, well... you DIE.

I thought the hero fall asleep. I WANTED to believe that. Then I learned that there was a sequel stating surely that you die on Persona 3.

So let's sum things up. You develop a hero, you make choices for him, you live a life as you want to and make romance situations as you want to. You start caring for that emo kid and his friends too. You struggle every midnight with them all. You fight against Thanatos, you fight against Nyx, you defeat BOTH. And then you die! WTF I just defeated death itself and Nyx too! How and why do I die? This makes no sense and it is a heart breaking betrayal. At least it is a peaceful and happy death but still it is SO SOUR it makes me wanna cry. A young kid dies, his/her friends will feel the sorrow. And you got no hint of your sacrifice at all.
One day though I wanna find the time to play Persona 2. It seems fantastic.

Maybe 4 later or even the new one, I don't know.

In the original Persona 3, it really does seem like the protagonist simply fell asleep after all the exhausting events that had transpired, and I felt that was left up to the player's imagination.

When they made remakes of Persona 3, I think they confirmed the death of the protagonist in order to facilitate the extra chapter - The Answer.

If you like a happier ending, you might want to go for Persona 4, rather than Persona 2 next. Both earlier Persona games are really fun as well, though. ^^

You might want to try of Devil Survivor as well. The series are RPG strategy with multiple endings.

massive spoilers for persona 3.

Makato Yuki(Minato Arisato) died on this month.

Anyways.. when I played Persona it wasn't a game. It was a second life, a chance to escape reality, an emotional experience.

You're right, Sakif X9, on both counts.

One of the reasons why I love Persona 4 especially is the way how the characters can relate to real life people one way or the other. Although it's not as easy as it appears in the the games, people can achieve magnificient feats when they rise up, face their weaknesses, and conquer their fears.

I've honestly have yet to play either series, yet it's been on my mind for years... even though I'm a big Etrian Odyssey fan and am aware of the similarities between it, SMT, and stuff like Persona Q. I've always wanted to try them, but never knew where to start.

Honestly, Dreadshadow, which JRPG isn't in one form or another? *shot!*
You got a point there.

Even Final Fantasy 7 that is one of my all time favorites is dramatic.

I just love good ending options, when you spend more than 80 hours on a game, you do understand the reason why I suppose. :p

Thou art I and I art Thou
Thou shalt be given our blessing when thou choseth to create a persona of the Hermit arcana.

I loved P3, and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV vs The Souless Army (sorry I had to say that)
Right now I'm playing SMT3 Nocturne and getting my ass kicked by Matador.

"I swear, by my sword and capote, that I will once again prove victorious!!"
Guy ain't joking.

Except for i am a chibi version of you.

I love Persona 4 and am currently playing persona 3 FES (just finished the seccond full moon boss and got Mitsuru/Marin Karin). Love the game so far but i dont really like Tarturus compared to the dungeons in persona 4 and i cant control the other members in my team (I know you can in portable but still) ;(

Any tips btw for FES? Also what is you favorite social link, mine is Maya in FES (lol, i know rite, Save me tatsuya! XD)

I love persona series, especially 4. Persona 4 might be the best Persona series Atlus ever made in term of story flow, immersion, and consistency.

and the weird part is that I don't like SMT and DS series...

Persona 3 was great, especially during the first and middle parts. By the time they introduce aegis to the game, I was just forcing myself to play the game. Damn.

I think the P3P version is a bit unique compared to the original one.

Watched the anime (P4A(+OVA), and P4GA). And if you haven't stay away from these 2 ****s if you haven't played the game.

Watched Devil Survivor 2, and since I don't play the game, I was relieved that I haven't played the game after I saw how bad it was in the anime version LOL. I heard it was supposed to be good though (with 4 endings?)

I also heard Atlus got trouble after P4 and they practically "sold" the company. Catherine, stupid extensions of P4 (dancing all night, etc) are the result of these trouble they get. Let's hope Persona 5 will be at least on par with P4 and P3.....

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
