Please don't talk about the Devil Survivor 2 anime... it was SOO bad! Ugh, can't believe I wasted my time on that -_-

I am a Shin megami tensei Elitist and not ashamed of it. Persona is OK. But the mainline just has more creativity IMO.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 + 2, Devil Summoner 1 + 2, Persona 3 + 4

Love them all, looking for others on the net to play them all!

Ah I forgot to mention that there was another Persona anime I watched: Persona Trinity Soul.

IMO, Persona Trinity Soul has potential, but then it is wasted on the last episodes of the anime ......

The persona games were an amazing experience to me. If gave me a new standard for good JRPGs.

Needless to say, I love them :)

Because I live in the UK, I've only recently had access to SMT 4 and I have to say it's great! I've also been lucky enough to get the neutral route first time after hearing how much of an issue to get it is. It's more forgiving than Nocturne in that enemies are on-screen encounters rather than random, but fortunately that's where the forgiving ends (I think we're all inherently masochists lol).

Though why does Lucifer's truest form look like Squidward from Spongebob? It's kind of hard to take seriously at times... (which is more than I can say for a certain quote from Merkabah xD)

Megaten fan here, love (most of) the series and have played all games of the franchise I could get my hands on. Has anyone seen the new P3 movies? I loved how they made the MC's personality direcftly conflict with his role in the game. (As in he's antisocial, but in order to get more powerful he needs to open up to others...)

I loved the movies, and you're right Yuki opening up to other was very contradictory to his personality. It shows how far Atous will go to make their characters believeable in a fantasy setting.

So far I have just seen the first two persona 3 movies, and I will have to say that the graphic quality is pretty much satisfactory. I haven't seen the third movie, and I will have to say that I find the main character (Makoto Yuki) to be incosistent and annoying from time to time.

Of course, the pacing is a bit of issue with this kind of adaption (game to movie). It would have been better if they make this into anime tv series format. But then, if they do that, I guess it will become another disaster like P4A and P4GA......

@formal complaint

actually, after getting into "somekind of trouble" after Persona 4 (I heard they sell the company to other company, or something like that), Atlus has changed a LOT. They start milking series into the depth of abyss IMO. Just go look at P4Arena, P4Ultimax, PQ, the anime series, the movie series, dancing all night, and I wouldn't be surprised if they gonna milk it even further.

Surely (the new) ATLUS will go really "far" and I hope they are not following Square Enix footsteps.....

I have a lot of hope in Persona 5, and hopefully they are still good.

It's not terribly difficult if you know that talking to the man in the bar will more or less tell you which alignment you're at. If you were shooting for a certain route, you can just adjust based on your future choices.

"Smirk" makes the battles super dynamic, honestly. You either clear out the mob or you get wiped instead. But yeah, the game isn't really forgiving in actual combat.

Neither of Lucifer's forms look too threatening, to be honest, although the Walter fetus on its arm made me sad to look at - that's what he got at the end of the day. Merkabah's first form is really cool, his second form, not so much. Honestly though, no boss compares to Kenji. Screw that dude.

xD I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS THREAD, THANK YOU

I've first played the remake Persona 1 on PSP, don't remember finishing it :/ Then bought Persona 3 Portable. Absolute favorite.

Played the first P4 Arena game on a friend's console.

Watched Persona 4: Golden Animation, and the Persona 3 movies 1 & 2. Tried to watch the P3 live action movie xD

And currently, I am playing Persona Q on my Persona Q 3DS, with half the tarot cards that came with it :L

All I have to say is that... I'm sad that the female protagonist wasn't canon ;w; that and them changing Theo's voice in Q from 3's :/ it's all a lie to me lol

No Persona 2? You're missing out on the most crazy/amazing plot in the franchise. What about the main Shin Megami Tensei games?

Anyone else feels confusedly hyped about Persona Shin Megami Tensei x Persona with Fire emblem art Fire Emblem? Someone on the comments of the youtube video where I saw the trailer linked to this analysis of it. As someone lacking in Fire emblem knowledge, I found it to be quite informative.

Actually the protagonist looks a lot like Marth from Fire Emblem tbh

I saw the SMT x FE game but it honestly just didn't interest me D:

I couldn't feel the stylish looks of persona/smt games from it. It feels more like a falcom game for some reason. Maybe it's the art style.

I really have a bad feeling that SMT x FE won't be any good.

Persona 3 is the only game I haven't finished, because I had invested so much emotionally in the story, the game and the characters that I couldn't bear the stress of something going bad. I'm glad I played persona 1 and 2 as a young adult. I could fully appreciate it in a way I wouldn't have, if I was younger. Amazing series.

I don't know why I skipped it- I remember buying Persona 1 at Gamestop, and I think my excuse was that there wasn't 2 available. I don't have a reason why I haven't played SMT though :/ I didn't own a PS console other than 1, and I was too young to even be on that in the first place xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
