I think it's pretty safe to say that it was pretty much the defining game of my childhood, personally. I blame this lovely 4-disc journey for my consistent interest in RPGs since my little-kid phase, XP Everything about it was just so awesome to me, the characters (quite honestly, Dart has been more of role model for me than my own father <.<), the unique battle system, the music especially... And those Dragoon transformations, just...damn, son. It's also a huge inspiration for my current project, with my characters' own transformations being heavily based on those of Dragoons. =P fun stuff. Anyone else remember this old hit, for better or worse? XP

Go eat a steak.

Seriously, LOD isn't very well designed or balanced, the cast is offensively cliched, and the gameplay is repetitive.

That said, LOD is also one of the most breathtakingly beautiful JRPGs of the PSX-era.  Its music is amazing.  The Dragoon spell animations are fun to watch (the first time, anyway.).

Steak sounds lovely right now, actually. Anyway, yeah, I'll admit it certainly had its issues. I dunno about the whole "cliched" bit, but yeah, it certainly could get repetitive, and the translations.and DEFINITELY the cutscene voice acting left a lot to be desired. For its time though, I think it did its job rather well, for what it was. =P

Beat it multiple times. Own 5 copies (different disc labels, and cover art) and a digital copy. It is slow story wise, I give you that, but in all, one of the best RPGs I've played, even beating almost all FF games. Plus, a lot of mythology references, especially Babylonian mythology mixed with some Buddhist mythology.

Odd part was, the last boss wasn't even the hardest boss. I wrote a sequel long time ago for it.

Also, naturally, the previous generation of Dragoons all seemed more interesting than the player characters, to my annoyance.

Loved it.

Yeah, it's clichéd as hell, but it's fun - and an absurdly clichéd story doesn't really turn me off games much as long as the other factors are good.

That said though dayum the battles are so slow.

I love this game. I read on TV tropes that it was created in a tongue and cheek way to be one of the most over the top cliche JRPG's

Also Lloyd's a badass. And LAVIIIIITZ.

Seriously, it's one of my favourite RPGs ever.

I wasn't particularly fond of the battle system, mainly because I'm slow with button presses.

I found the name "Lloyd"  kind of strange for an antagonist... maybe because Sephiroth was still fresh in my mind at the time so I kind of thought of him as a lame ripoff.  Aside from him though, I never really could understand why so many people referred to it as a clone of Final Fantasy 7.

It is my favorite RPG that's ever been (unless you do like some people and count Bioshock games as RPGs as well).

Remember playing it back my senior year.  Had a blast with it.  Combat, while slow, was different enough than some of the other games out there to keep me entertained.  Characters were fun in my opinion.

Graphically speaking, it's just straight breathtaking.

Legend of Dragoon is a pretty cool game.

I loved how the characters were all "elemental", that's just something I always like. And...all your party members get power-up transformations, not just the main guy, which is pretty rare. The combat system was pretty fun, some of the timings were pretty hard though...I also liked how the game had several standard battle themes, that's an instant plus for me.

I have a few of the action figures that were made for it actually. Dart, Rose, and Lloyd. I wanted the others, but never saw them in stores, now...they are pretty expensive.

The game certainly has it's cliches, one of them being the main character is a young blonde swordsman with an affinity for fire...But I manage to like him and the game regardless. Oh, but changing the Disc for each region? Eh...you never need to go back if I recall correctly, but I like backtracking and revisiting old locations...

I've been wanting to play the game again, but oh, my backlog is bad.

It has some flaws but still holds a special place in my heart, it was the first Rpg game I've completed.

FF7... ewww.

I broke that disc purposely after an hour.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
