                                                                  == Synopsis ==

All of the knights in the kingdom have been murdered by a enigmatic man known as "The Puppet Master".
Why he has targeted the knights specifically is a mystery, but now there is nobody left to solve the day to day

problems of the kingdom's inhabitants. With nobody to help out, the kingdom has fallen into despair.

Ara is a wannabe knight who dreams of one day joining the esteemed group, but all of their attempts

to join have been thusfar rejected. When in town one day, Ara learns the horrible fate of the other knights

from one survivor, The Sheriff, who miraculously escaped the Puppet Master's grasp. The Sheriff tells Ara

of a Sword atop the Orc's Tower that, if wielded by a true knight, will be able to undo the Puppet Master.

Ara sets out for the Tower to retrieve the sword and become a true knight, while helping everyone they meet

along the way. And thus begins the adventures of Ara.

Looking really nice, loving the style and sense of humour so far.

Curious to see more, especially the upgrading system, something I really like in games :)

No Ralph? As in Ralph Bluetawn?

Aside from that I liked what I've seen and can't wait to try it out!

This looks amazing! I loved the "shovel knight" vibe, and the character's animation. I would like to see some puzzles and dungeons, good work!!!

This looks absolutely fantastic and I am looking forward to it. My only advise would be to speed up the battle animations by about 3x what they are, it looks a bit slow and sluggish. The pixel work here is very nice as is the smart decision to go side-scrolling!

Just kidding, I love the style here, and the irreverent humor you use. Can't wait to play it!

I am working on speeding up the battles a bit. I'm no scripter though, so there's a lot of trial and error going on.
Little tweaks to the gameplay here and there, and a somewhat simple battle system revolving around MP consumption/regeneration.

Appreciative of the attention and feedback!

Looks so pretty! For some reason reminds me of Lisa "The First" lol.

Thank you (I did actually take inspiration for going 2D from Lisa, even though I'm not a fan of that game.)
if I could just stop drawing stuff and actually do work for the game itself maybe I'll get somewhere.

Battle system is finally a go, now working on the in-game objectives.

After a lot of tinkering and tuning, the game is starting to come together.
A few things have changed, but other things have been added in also.
The next time I post about Ara, it'll be in Project Development, not early project feedback.
So keep an eye out for that.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
