Are there any battle systems that allow custom animations for character attacks?

I've looked up and down and all I can find are ones with limited sheets that have nowhere near enough frames I can use for all the attacks I need to put into the sheet. What's worse is a lot of these have weapons attached on the sprites, which rotate and swing ((as seperate sprites)) and my characters are technically supposed to be weaponless. I am trying to go for something similar to the Mario and Luigi games, Any reccomendations would be nice.

Again, I'm looking for something that plays like a traditional RPG ala side view but allows more animations for the custom attacks I want to give my characters. Sorta like this, But again: I am looking for a system for VX Ace as that's the software I use.

And most importantly a second time: I am not looking for ones that have weapons attached to the sprites as seperate graphics which rotate or whatever. My characters are going to have athletic moves like Mario and Luigi.

  1. Theolized Side-View Battle System (made by Theo).
  2. Battle Symphony (made by Yami)
  3. And there was that battle system with a weird name Tanke-something... I forgot this one, the author is a japanese guy/gal (if I remember right).

Note that ALL of the advanced side view battle systems require many, many hours, days, weeks, or even more time to learn properly.

And just because they offer the possibility of showing a weapon sprite, doesn't mean you have to use it.

There might be more, but these are the well-known ones, so the possibility of getting support for these are way higher than for the others.

I've tried that TH one before but none of the characters even have animations for typical physical/punch animations or anything, Not to sound annoying or stupid but some tutorials would be nice on making new character animations into the game.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
