Are there any good character face/sprite generators?

Hey there. I'm pretty new to RPG Maker and I've taken a liking to the character generator for making characters. Although, I am finding it a bit limited.

Specifically, I'm looking to make a few characters with dark gray skin and bright, glowing eyes. I'm not sure why the generator limited itself to only four skin tones, though I can probably make due with the eyes.

If anyone knows where I can download more skin tones and eyes for the generator, that works as well. Though I haven't been able to find anything like what I'm looking for.

You could try Game Character Hub or search for some online generators

Not sure if these would be quite what you're after, but worth a look.

Thanks for the help. Game Character Hub looks like what I want... just have to decide if I really want to spend the money. xD

I'll see what else I can find first.

Decided to go with Game Character Hub.

Seems good so far, but is there any way to crop portraits? The default doesn't seem to fit into rpg maker correctly.

Yes.  I ran into the same problem.  I wish it were done through a pre-existing filter, but anyways:

    The portrait size is 128x128.

So you need to do a Select All on your face components, then resize them to 75% of their current size. Then, resize their containing Frame to be 96 by 96 pixels.

That will make them the right size.

Then make sure to add a Filter that writes out the Face portraits in 4 by 2 format (4 columns, 2 rows).

Also, a powerful feature is the Save as Different Colors.  This lets you quickly create a set of faces or sprites with their color variations.

And, if you are using large Mack or XP style sprites, be sure to add !$ in front of the name so they are handled properly.
