And now, a story.

This chap is David Tennant Nicola. He runs an antique shop.

He's got a tattoo styled similar to one of these, but I'm quite unsure about actual design! It's the kind of thing that's hard to get across in black and white, too.

He's also got HILARIOUS TAN LINES I simply must draw some time. They're from all those visits he pays a certain demonic cult based in Egypt.

From around the mid-1800s to the early 1900s he works with an assistant, Morgan B. Handsome Hansen to study THE OCCULT for SCIENCE.

They do things like read empty books in formless white voids.

Eventually Morgan gets SO OLD he grows a mustache. He also starts a family.

One of those family members is his grandson, Martin. This was the first page I doodled up for him; I've got some other loose drawings I'll have to scan sometime! He also ends up working for/studying under Nicola.

Which brings us to the crux of all this information: Martin reading a personal journal that may or may not contain erotic notes about his grandfather.

Oh yeah and Nicola's a demon-summoning vampire. I GUESS that's mildly important.

I also finally got around to finishing this...last week? A couple weeks ago? Here's something of a progress .gif, for anyone interested in that sort of thing!

This is Ruby. The lines for this one look quite nice all on their lonesome, too.

And a general mesh of design things. Incidentally, this demon hangs around that Lukas fellow up there and is quite problematic! For people not Ruby or Luke, at least.

It is evolving from this bloop I did for the daily sketch thread! This is a transition from 30 minutes -> 3 hours but now it's 4 in the morning so I'm gonna sleep. OTL GOOD NIGHT

Ah, I'll update things here, too... I haven't been drawing much outside of things people have asked me for/things I haven't scanned in, on account of being busy with other things.

It's been an emogency. Two characters from gaming group, Khash and Quinn, Quinn being infamous for a lot of reasons and also quite good at getting himself punched in the braces.

And another, Kael. I'd like to finish this sometime!

Also these tend to come from my sketchbook and I’m terrible at something like “eh scene kids clothes I guess what do them confangled youngsters even wear??” I keep getting told to go peruse hot topic’s site and I MEAN I HAVE, BUT… i’m still so bad at the clothes unless I have something directly in front of me to ref.

In January I went to a con and there was a marker workshop so I noodled around with markers for the first time for a bit… these are the only blips that weren’t just smears of WHAT COLOR IS THIS WHAT HAPPENS IF I TOUCH THAT OTHER COLOR WITH IT????

It’s not much yet! A severe wip of this harlequin…werewolf…named…bedlam…look he’s a friend’s character and he’s made of tangets and I’m just gonna post another wip when I have a background.

I do keep meaning to pick out more things from them, though!

I had a dream today, and this painting was in it. I decided I want to make it a reality.

It's got a lot of details I hope show up better once I clean up everything.


I’ve just about finished some Stuff and Things I was hired for so now I have more free art time to myself. I’ll get around to scanning more sketchbook things! There are a lot of them and I'd like to slap color on as many as I can. It's good practice!

This is from today! I haven’t painted in a while, so I decided to do something basic. PAINTING IS SUPER RELAXING AND GREAT

This is a WIP with all the layers turned on and I think it’s hilarious. It’s Khash, Quinn, and Kael through the years! Things sure get pretty hectic.

A bunch of Khash from around March! With bonus “don’t let me try to think of clothes for khash without hot topic’s input”. I am terrible at that.

As Nicola is an avid researcher of the occult, throughout his life he’s had several students. From left to right: Morgan, Howard, Martin, Edith (an unofficial student and ho boy are there stories about that), Sophie, and Timothy. This is actually missing his first two students! …They didn’t end well.

Victoria Crowe, older sister of Lukas Crowe. Try to avoid having them in the same room together. It’s best for everyone.

There's not even all some of the Quinn stuff. Just a bunch of stuff and things; personally the bottom one is my favorite - ways that khash sees quinn vs. the harsh reality.

Definitely not some form of Jesus Khash. Nope, no siree.
