Updated my map because I felt the tint was hiding some details. And updated the waterfall.

I'm a leftie but I pretty much did this with my right hand. ><

Man, shame I found out about this contest so late or I'd have tried entering. Everyone's entries look positively lovely, though!

Yes, but...

Effort...

...Okay, you talked me into it. I'll see if I can throw something together in time.

Good luck Sailerius! I'm also joining in pretty late, but hopefully I can finish mine in time, even if it's a lot of effort.

Here goes nothing:

Grieving.

This is what I made, not exactly pixel art (except the sprite) but I hope it counts, because I suck at pixel art anyway.

Credit to Sharms Pixel Myth: Germania (I won't link it, as it is a bought resource)

Credit to Celianna for the sand.

I don't really know what resource to include here. The grass and water is mine, but I don't have it in tileset form (well, I do, but it is used with Celianna's a2 tiles, so...)

So uh, here is the smoke.

The inside of a mana tree. Fairies float about living off of the mana fountains.

Everything in this map is 100% drawn by me. I can't actually show the tiles as some of them will be available for my new Ancient Dungeon tileset! However, here's a couple that I can post though:

Absolutely stunning, Celianna. My eyes were really drawn to the wooden steps for some reason (and the pavilions) of course.

Can't wait for your Ancient Dungeon set even more :)

@Celianna

That is absolutely amazing, I dunno if we are allowed to like other maps if we enter ourselves, but regardless I just had to like that map, its just so... Wow.

(Needless to say I am stunned by that map.)

@Celianna  This is the first time I've wanted to live inside a tree so badly since reading the Berenstain bears as a kid :o

OKay, Luchi and Leila are already in with 100% original, and Cel is planning on entering,

so I figure I'd better throw my hat in before it gets any more embarassing!

(will tweak and change image later maybe. add a shadow or two.)

*****edit*****

oh cr**, I was too slow. Cel already spread the incredibleness!! oh well, I'll just sneak in anyways, lol

The Castle Vineyard...

Vineyard Tilesheet -

All materials made for contest. =]

Grape arbors, grape bunches, wine list, are original by me.

Resources with Frankens/Edits noted below/

There are unused tiles tucked away in here - a wall tile with grapes on the end columns,

the edit of a grape arbor growing over the tunnel through the wall (dark or transparent...

Tile A4 includes patterned walls for your own easy wall edits in colors of your choice,

and those white looking center ceilings are transparent, in case you prefer grass or dirt instead of sand for your vineyard interior, so you can easily add it.

And below, a charset, for a conversation with the poor chap who stomps the grapes.

The theme of this map is "Freedom!?"

My resources are RTP and PVGames

I created two tiles for the map.

and

Those were my first tiles made and I really enjoyed the exercise.

Not sure what should the title be, but I made it based on summer theme. I guess Summer Vacation is fitting enough. =D

All Graphics asset used are custom made by me.

@numfanklewhat I love the reflections in the water and if the one with the giant fish was an angel robot thing I would say I swear I saw this exact scene in an anime.  Very nice.

Sorry Aerith... I will abandon your shoes... :guffaw:
Spent a whole bunch of time today reworking the area in the video because someone said it was too illusory. So I reworked it so it changes less, moved the grass up to the same level as the player.... And found enough extra resources to make the grass moves when the player touches it. Also lots more water, because it looks amazing. I'll probably put up a short updated video later today.
I never noticed how NOISY birds can be in the morning..
The worst part of writing the thesis is getting to a point where it's nearly done and you feel like an 8th-grader could've written something on that level.
So ... uh ... this weekend I have to cut my husband's hair. He searched long and hard - highest mountains, deepest valleys, across vast oceans. All hairdressers are now closed. So it's me.
