Hello everyone,
Can't wait to get started, just picked up RPG Maker off steam and am looking forward to asking lots of questions and working on some fun projects.
I see alot of wonderful art and I see that it is in PNG format, most of what I am looking at are faces and portraits and have noticed that most of what people do is make their own art for their games. I have tons of beautiful art but its on paper so . . .
Here is my dumb question of the day: How do you make your art? As in how to I get my drawings on the computer, clean, high deff looking and pro? Do you use a program such as photoshop? and if so do you actually draw those amazing characters with a mouse? If not what do you use to do so? If it's by a type of art pen (which I could only guess) what is a good low cost one to get, will it work with photoshop or am I way off track here.
When I see clean high deff type anime art online, how do they actually get it there, can't be scanned, that seems to make to many specs and looks faded, it must be drawn live.
So ask my stupid question, i'll await your responses.
(I have Photoshop and such, but i don't understand how you make art with a clumsy mouse and doubt most of the people doing fine anime style characters have done so as well)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
