Guys, I've found several custom tiles and I'm currently messing around importing them into RM.

The one I want to import is an OUTSIDE set of tiles.

I am aware that the outside_B and C are both 512x512 pixels. And I could only add custom tiles up to Outside_E, which is 512x512 too.

Does this mean that the tiles I could use are NOT LIMITLESS?

I mean I could only add custom tiles up to E, right? Does that mean that I can only add JUST TWO MORE set of tiles (importing it to empty slot in D and E with 512x512 pixels) if I want to keep the default tiles (A to C)?

Yes, that is correct - the tilesets in Ace have limited size.

That's why people use "frankentiling" when needing tiles from different tilesheets - creating new tilesheets that contain only the needed tiles from existing tilesheets, and change them for the map (contrary to VX, in Ace you can have a lot of different tilesets and each map can have one of them)

God, I missed the elephant in the room.

Why don't I just make different type of tileset for different type of map? That would make it limitless.

Thanks for the revelation!

I 'marked solved' the post that actually solved the problem, not the post where you said the problem was solved.

Ah, sorry. Seems like I'm unfamiliar with the technical for this forum, or my common sense is just as bad.

It's a reasonably new feature. If you look at the top of the thread, the post that is "marked" gets copied up to the top. It means if others have a similar question, they can see the correct answer straight away and don't have to scour through a potentially long thread (with potentially incorrect answers) to find what they need to do :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
