Asking about "ticks" in Yanfly's scripts and some other questions.

Hi all, I'm new there.


1) Currently I'm wanting to modify somethings in Yanfly's ATB script. However, I couldn't find any info that how many ticks equal to 1 turn or 1 second. If anyone know that plz tell me.


2) I'm looking for some way to create skill trees and skill points/ stat points per level. Is there any tutorial or idea for this?

You set that in the plug in settings. It's either in that plug in or the battle core plug in (which I believe is required for that to work right).

Thank you for your reply but in core plugin, it only show how many ticks equal 1 turn, while my issue is quite different.


Please let me explain:


In Yanfly's ATB plugin, there is a option to change how many speed a battler can gain per tick. So let say I'm setting it as 1 and to be full gauge, it requires 100.


So it means 100 ticks need to passed to the gauge to be full, but there is no way to check exactly how 'long' 100 ticks are. Is it same as frame, which 60 frames are 1 second? When I tried to timer it with my clock, I don't think they matched with my assumption.


If anyone know this, please help me. :)

looking at his script, 1 frame update equals 1*tickRate amount of ticks... as to how long is that in seconds, that depends on the framerate that the game runs on. From reading threads here, different devices run the games at different framrates so it's a bit hard to determine accurately how many ticks it will be per second unless you know the framerate at which the game currently runs on.


It's a bit hard to get support for that script now since Yanfly himself discontinued supporting it.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
