I was wondering if it was possible to figure out how to add a preload verification to asset-related plugins to avoid things like the following error:
In this case, it's messing with KELYEP_Dragonbones on browser export. Commenting out the exception throw in pixi.js further reveals that the assets aren't being loaded (there's literally nothing there). And running it through Google suggests that it's a preload issue.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Big dumb... it turned out to be the assets themselves. Copying over an unencrypted version solved the problem, so I'm gonna end up testing some edits to account for the encryption and report back.
EDIT 2: And of course it doesn't play nice with the encryption. Copying the files as-is will have to suffice, so I'm updating the browser-based project to use the raw, unencrypted images to accommodate this. (Not that it matters anyway, since the deployment system in question will be doing its own encryption work.)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
