Hello again, my people. For the first time I'm using an ATB combat system, from Yanfly, in a project. The thing is that I'm a novice and I didn't get it how to configure it yet. I got all the plugins that's been required and it's activated, but when a I set a test battle anything changes from how it was before.
I didn't made any configuretion, I just installed the plugin and set to enable. I looked for tutorials with no substation awnser. So, could somebody give me a help with a step-by-step for beginners? I would be realy greatful.

First thing to do is watch Yanfly's instructions.

If you did that already then please describe us the problem better.
"anything changes from how it was before" is too general.
Actually THIS is exactly what ATB system does. Change the battle system.
So we need a little more information on what is wrong, so we can help you out.

Also, make sure the plugins are set in the right order. (It's the exact same order as how they're listed on his main plugin directory page). Even though the plugin isn't being supported anymore, it should still work. I'm using it in my project as well and everything's peachy.

I've moved this thread to Plug-In Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Also as an FYI Yanfly has discontinued support for their ATB system, so if you use too new a version of plug-ins or MV it just might not work in general. But try it in the game, not in test battle, as test battle tries to quick load things and often times custom battle systems just don't work in test battle.

Did you open battle engine in your plugin manager and go to the parameter that says battle system. By default it's set to 'dtb'. Change that to 'atb'. Lastly make sure your plugins are in the same order from yanfly's website. Also save after messing around with the plugin manager and before attempting a test battle.

I saw that video, dude. I did everything the video said, but I didn't see any difference mudanças in the turn battle, even in with different agility and such.

Are you seeing player ATB gauges (and enemies if you have that plugin) go up, though? If so, and they just feel too samey, try messing with the various values in the ATB plugin's "ATB Settings," such as Full Gauge, Charge Gauge, etc until it ends up how you like it. I know it took me a bit of tweaking before it was working in the way I wanted it to.

Edit: To mix things up a bit, I found it to be a good idea to randomize the initial values a bit. You can do this by putting:

Math.random() * n

...under "Initial Speed," replacing "n" with a number equal to roughly 30% of whatever value you have for "Full Gauge." This causes players (and enemies) to start with between 0% and 30% in their ATB gauge. It looks a lot better than 4 guys with similar speeds all popping turns up at the same time.

Are you playtest the battles from the troop event or are you playtest the battles by pressing the green playtest button?
If you're playtest from battles from troop events, ATB doesn't work there; you have to playtest by pressing the green button, starting a new game and testing the battles from a debug map or something.

So my random 'Initial Speed' is working since it will show the gauge filled at 60% for example but then a split second after it resets back to 0 and starts over again. Anyone have any idea of what's causing that to happen? Also, this is only happening for the first player actor, not the ones following him.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
