I am finding this unexpectedly difficult to accomplish for some reason, but I cannot think of anything I have not yet tried.

Basically, I would like certain ultimate attacks enabled by equiping a character's ultimate weapon, like "wide shot" enabled by "wide spray" nozzle, and "mist" enabled by "hand lamp".

Any tips?

You put the skill into the features/traits slot of the weapon, and when the weapon is equipped the user has access to those skills. When the weapon is not equipped, the skills can't be used.

Don't forget to set that skill type accessible as well or your actors won't be able to use it even after they learned it.

I cannot help but think that I have done exactly that according to these screenshots.

Furthermore, each of my characters can equip the weapons in question, but cannot acquire the skill I expect of them. I assigned to each skill its required weapon, too, so what is still missing after all this?

Come to think of it, why must we associate an animation with each weapon if the animation should depend on the attack?

Can you send us a screenshot of the skill as well? From the features list it doesn't seem that you enabled any class of skills. If that skill is of a class different than that accessible by the actor wearing the item then - no matter if they know it or not - they can't use it.

Being able to see which skill categories your actors can access is also useful.

Let me know if you need more information, but I hope this is enough. Juho and Kaj are identical as far as the database is concerned.

Problem found. It was exactly as I thought. Your skill is of the "Special" category. None of your classes nor actors have access to that category of skills. You have to add a feature to their list to add that particular category. You don't have to add it to every features list. You can add it to either the class list or the actor list. You could also create a completely new category and enable it only when using those weapons.

Thank you so much for your help! I just posted a draft of the game under "games in development" that is currently awaiting moderation, so hopefully people get to see it and tell me what they like and do not like about it!
