I tried to look everywhere around the internet, and looked at a few posts that I thought was similar to this one, but I haven't got lucky to find what I'm asking for as a stand alone. I'd like a script that can give attacks the same kinds of types like the attacks in pokemon, but I don't want to have pokemon, or creatures to fight for the player (Except if the player is a kind of player that can control creatures/the dead). And I'm neither any good at Ruby atm, and my brain'd melt if I tried to learn it with all the school stuff and other things happening around me.

Is there already a script that does this thing, which I just couldn't find, or do I have to download either Pokemon Essentials or Crystal Engine to get access to something similar to pokemon attack types?

Oh yeah, after thinking a little, I remembered that I'd also need to have the types on the allies/enemies, so having types over all for attacks and characters is the thing I'm looking for.

You need to learn the RM vocabulary (which, itself, is very counter-intuitive).

Are you trying to find a way to have your skills have more than one element?

Do you want skills to be limited to 4 per actor?

Do you want skills to have their own point pool for casting?

I'm looking for something where skills can have what I believe you call elements, that can either be effective against the class/type/element of the enemy. Extremely similar to pokemon, except you can't catch the enemy (Unless you're a Monster Tamer), and you can't have other creatures to battle for you (Unless, again, you're a Monster Tamer, or a Necromancer etc.).

From your post, it seems like I looked everywhere but the obvious part. Perhaps I didn't look thoroughly enough.

RM vocabulary? Where can I learn that? Is it a coding language, or is it just the way of writing here? D'you mean skills, elements, point pools and actor? And other stuff that I probably missed?

I don't need to have four skills per actor, and point pools doesn't matter either.

You can make skills have a certain element and add elemental resistances to enemies... That will suffice for what you want I believe, unless you want a skill that does more than 1 element...

Really? How? Because when I looked, I didn't find anything about that. Or maybe I just suck at searching for stuff.

Where can I find it?

for skill element: it's in the box near the damage formula

for enemy/actor/class/equip/state elemental resistance: use the features box

No, it's not a special coding language - it's how things are named in the editor and the community.

For example, when talking about "elements", we are talking about a list of damage types that is defined in the database, terms-tab. For the damage types listed there (which can be the default elements or completely changed to a list of for example "piercing", "stabbing", "blunt" or whatever), you can add resistances or weaknesses to any actor or enemy by using the feature settings.

There are a lot of similiar things where the names used here are slightly different (for example, what many other game engines call scripting is called eventing in RM, while what we call scripting is basically full coding and often not possible in other engines), and if you mix up those differences it becomes difficult for us to understand whether you're asking for something with the RM description or how the word is used in other game communities.

Some of the abbreviations and descriptions are in the topic linked in my signature, but unfortunately I haven't found the time to complete that yet...

Going back to elements, I actually do think I'd like more elements than the ones I can see. How can I add more? Oh yeah, and is it possible?

for each of those terms, there is a button on the lower part which lets you add more slots

You should explore it more, those buttons are quite obvious

Really? I thought I did explore everything possible, but it seems like the list of things that I missed just grows more and more.

Thanks for informing me.

Most of the lists in the database (Actors, classes, skills, weapon types, elements and so on) has that button... I think it's called Change Maximum or something :)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
