Greets all. I'm an Autism Parent and a long time old school Game Master, writer and coder. Reading and writing is a great way to open up the minds of children and adults allowing them to better express themselves as a knight, warrior, etc. I wrote this awhile ago about how role-playing opens a whole new world in being able to write and socialize. The content is still very relevant. Maybe you know someone on the spectrum or their parent(s) who can benefit: Read: Autism & Role Playing Game Benefits

I was an autism patient and yes, I was quite alot of imagination and rarely talk to my friends since I was a kid.

Man, three kids?! That was really big challenge to help them learning.

I don't have autism, but I was in a Telecare facility for three months last summer involuntary and the group therapist tried to get us into role playing as therapy. Sadly I don't like the awkwardness of groups and/or the tedium of reading (fiction). As a schizoaffective, I already have so much imagination that I need to learn to keep it under control anyway.

Thanks for sharing. I've heard a lot of autism parents/caretakers describe the benefits of role-playing, especially in games with quality writing and choice-based progression. In my games, I try to incorporate as many choice elements as possible without creating needless complexity. Choice-based games are extremely difficult to produce, but well worth it when done correctly.

Thanks for all your feedback. I have not been getting notifications of replies so did not realize anyone responded. Yes RPGs do help and make them think outside their world.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
