I'm looking for something to utilize for a temporary party member in my game. You don't actually control them, as they are technically a machine the rest of the party is lugging around, but having them in the party alive would restore a small amount of HP and MP to the rest of the party every turn in battle. I've tried doing this with the default options in the engine, but I haven't been able to find any real solutions. I'm admittedly still very inexperienced with the program (VXAce), but I've tried a number of things that have yet to work.
I was able to remove the option to fight from said party member and just gave them the skill in question, but I couldn't find a way to remove their access to the items, which is something I don't really want. When I set them to autofight, they never do anything, even when the skill to restore HP/MP is the only thing they can do and doesn't cost any MP or TP. I also can't seem to work out any common events that could be attached to armors or weapons through script.
So if anybody knows of anything that could help me out here, I'd greatly appreciate it!
