Automatically Use items.

Hi :)


i have serched for something like this but couldn't find it: i'm looking for a script that force the player to use an item as soon as they are collected (not every item 'tho), for example:


collect the item "Scroll" -> call common event that teaches the spell then remove the item.


or... like in games like zelda where you collect the heart and get immediately healed.


stuff like that; also on the same note, could it be possible to make something that automatically equips a weapon or armor (again not every item, only those with a specific tag) as soon as they are collected.


thanks in advance to whoever will look into it or point me in the right direction :)

You just need to set it up within the event that gives the item, not on the item itself.


under the event, say "you got a heart!"
Then in the same event have it activate the heart and remove the item before the event ends.


same process will work for weapons too

i know how to work an event :p sorry, i should have specified, that's on me.


unfortunately i cannot do that for two reasons:


1- some items are dropped by monsters and you collect them by simply walking on them (it's a abs)


2- as for weapons, they are upgraded via a crafting script, therefore when i upgrade the current weapon i lose it and gain the +1 version, and i would like the +1 version to be equipped automatically

1) if it is dropped on the map by an abs, then it is an event - you just need to find where the master event is that the abs script uses to place that item on the map, and then edit that master event to use the items directly.


2) this can only be done by adding the command to equip an item at the place where it is added in the script.


However, this is not a script request, it is script support - support of the scripts you're already using, and we need to get links to the websites of those scripts if we are to give you better help - the commands need to fit into your scripts, they can't be done independently.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
