loving the icons Avery! great work as always :3 particularly a fan of the different MV potion types and the MV gems they look beautiful!
P.S. i didnt realize this massive iconset existed, and now my icon issues have been solved! XD
P.P.S. purely a suggestion as something I have yet to see in any icon sets, is a simple green check mark and red X. (if they already exist in here somewhere and I just cant find it, I apologize for my blindness)
Thank you very much AVERY for your resources, unfortunate that you have not been connected, but if you do, I will use your resources for my project, I hope to finish it this year, I will give you CREDIT and good if you connect when you have it ready I will give you a copy of the Game, with much gratitude for your work I say goodbye Jonathan.
How do I use these Icons? They look great, I'm just not sure how to use them.
I'm using MV.
EDIT: Ok, Kinda figured it out myself, but all you have to do is extend the orignal
icons image downwards, then plop the new icon image in. I was able to do that
pretty easily in gimp, basically the free version of PhotoShop.
The creators of Sprite such as PandaMarus and Avery (Avy), are not available for months, just as I asked them for permission to use their Sprite and to give them a copy of the finished my project, but sorry not until when they will be.
I did something very specific to my icons, you might see what it is, but why?
(Hint: It's something that should make it more easy for people to change to this iconset. It is not fully done, blank spaces have a reason)
You may choose the next 5 MV icons I create (or a simple modular set!) if you find out first!
If there is interest in that style, I might open the wishes for MV icons again, so let me know, if you like what you see!
Some icons are brand new to fill specific gaps, like the love potion, the broken stone...plate text thing or the gold ore!
I wanted to warn you that I will use your resources, I will give you credit + copy of the game as you requested, now the icons you have are for Ace, so I will have to buy the Rpg maker Ace, and others are from Xp.
@Avery im new bu i'll take a stab at it, your original iconset on page 1 is a standard 32x32
this is a super mega iconsheet that can fit all your work in 1, with open gap spaces not only for new additions from you but for ppl to add their own (or others if permitted) icons to this super sheet.
long story short with this icon set we won't need another one ever again since MV only takes one icon sheet at a time anyway, we can just use this one and edit it/add to it as we go.
@Avery I think it looks like you made your own version of Yanfly's tons of freebie icon resources (and then added your own original icons to the end of course) so anyone using that can just switch over. That's absolutely incredible!
If I ever made a game (I'm actually in the early planning stages for one now) I was always planning on using your XP/VX/Ace style icons simply due to the sheer amount of them. (Your icons, combined with XP's mapping, always made me seriously consider whether to use XP or MV ) But now I may be able to use this instead! (Especially considering it has icons matching the default weapon graphics) I always was more a fan of your style over the Ace upscale one anyway.
yeah im currently playing around with your items and i see you made a section where the first column is the original item and then you added a huge list of color variations for that item, very easy to use! im actually using our icon sheet to recolor a few feathers if thats ok with you! need em for a project im working on!
Before I say anything, these icons are next level.
Is it possible to make broader weapon types. I love the swords below
and I love the colored weapons and icons too. Maybe like the Norse weapon Mjolnir
or the spear Gungnir .
Not those specific ones but maybe more weapons mythology based.
Also if possible, maybe more transformation Icons as well (werewolf and vampire type icons that could be used for a transformation skill)
Sorry for asking so much.
For every amazing step of the way I make, I find myself in a moment where I feel really stupid for not knowing something. I probably shouldn't though, but still, it sometimes feels more obvious than perhaps it is
My brain when designing quests:
There is piano, it needs help --> The organ (yes organ now) is missing a component! --> Where the heck am I supposed to put this missing piece!??! --> Add an entire new mini dungeon specifically created to house this new piece. --> Connect this brand new mini dungeon to an already designed dungeon with background information about the town it's found it.
