Hi there forum
I go by the moniker FrozenNorseman, and though I've been lurking on these boards for a couple of months, I thought it was about time I got out of my shell and said hello.
I am from Denmark and have been recently found myself fiddling about with RPGMaker MV. So far it's all just loose ideas and playing with the program to understand it, but I am hoping to actually get somewhere eventually (aren't we all?)
I am an author and journalist by trade, but I am currently looking at a period without any work, so I thought I might as well try to focus a bit more on my *other* projects. Finishing that manuscript that's been collecting dust for years, work on some freelance writing projects and perhaps, just perhaps, get in contact with my inner little game developer.
That's me. And while its intimidating trying to figure out what's up and down on these boards, I hope you will all be (relatively) kind to me, and allow me to settle in some remote corner here for the next foreseeable future.

That is ok. I know the rest of the Actor 3 Set...
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
