Hello people, I've encountered a very baffling problem.  I'm usually pretty good with RPG Maker these days as I've used it a lot, but I'm scratching my head at this problem now.  Its incredibly unusual and quite odd to a point I see no rhyme or reason to it. --- This is with RPG Maker VX Ace, Steam version.

Problem is, I have a zone (so far the only zone I can detect the problem in), named "ViuraTownship".  When i zone into this area for the first time, every block works exactly how its suppose too, passability is fine, and no problems at all, however when i zone into it a second time, random chunks of tiles are impassable, while others work fine, even tiles of the same type!  Here are some example pictures of what I mean. For the one with Black-Lines, the Black-Lines indicate where my character cannot pass (roughly).

(Basically most of the green-grass tiles are completely impassable though they work fine on my first-zone in, and some of them work fine there-after, but others have impassability. These aren't the only impassable areas, most grass areas after the first or second block are completely impassable despite them all using the same tile.)

(This shows that I can walk normally on the grass tiles when I first zone into the area, again, when I first zone in, all works fine, its when I zone out/back in a second time that it screws up)

(Shows a rough area of where the "invisible walls" halt my movement)

Scripts I'm using:

Yanfly

Symphony

CP Terrain (Allows me to use certain "Regions" like 18/19/20 to change passability, this was my first thought, but other zones don't have this issue)

So... Hopefully someone goes "OH, I had the problem, its because _____"... Cause otherwise I'm completely fricking baffled, and again to recap, zone works perfectly the first time I enter it, its when I leave/re-enter that all this weird pass-ability stuff starts happening.  Also, the (the B Tab top left item is marked as a Star on all tilesets, including the one I'm using shown here, that was my first check.

As with all scripts, try moving each script one by one below Main, to see if that fixes it.

If you have all scripts below main and the passability still messes up, it's some setting in the program. Check passability again and make sure you're not using another blank spot that actually has Xs.

If it turns out to be script related, then go ahead and ask in the script thread as well.

If it turns out to be script related, don't start another thread - it's just easier to have this one moved.

What do you mean by "zone in"? Do you simply mean "come to this map"? It can't mean zooming, as that's in the editor and not in the game. Please learn what the REAL terms are and use them, as I don't really understand what you're doing when it changes from working to not working.

Please forgive me,  I've been a part of many communities, some using different languages, however among many games some basic terms exist and I try to use those as frequently as possible when entering a new community.  I use "Zoning" because it is a basic term used when describing the transfer from one area to the next in MMOs and many other games, and Its usually the term most people in a video game community understand.  Its a hard mindset to break for me.  Still, you seem like a smart fellow based on your responses and help, so did you really not understand or did I perhaps hit a pet peeve? Cause the hostility in your tone feels a tad unwarranted. I apologize either way, maybe I'm looking into too deeply, I wasn't aware it would cause such confusion for anyone.

That said, I use the term "Zoning in" as a means to describe the transfer from one area into the next, in this case, moving from MAP(A) to MAP{B} I suppose the easiest way to explain it to you is I use the "Quick Event - Transfer" to traverse two different unconnected maps.  In this situation, when I move into, or "Transfer", to MAP(A), All pass-ability checks out fine and works fine, I can walk on all the correct tiles and passability is normal.  However, upon leaving the area, either through "Transfer" or "Door" to any other map, lets say "MAP{B}, and returning back to the same area, Map(A), random tiles in map (A) become impassable as shown in the pictures.

I hope this clarifies things.

Thanks for the response, it was quite helpful. After a bit of testing and moving,  I moved the CP Terrain under "Main", and the issue is no longer an issue.  So while it works with other maps, It seems like something with that Script is screwing up random tiles on this map.  So it appears to be an issue with the CP Terrain Script.  So It'll be easier to have this one moved to script related help.

That said, I'll see If I can also PM the creator of the script, though theres been little activity from that thread in quite a while, I fear I'll have to rid myself of this script or simply remove the use of it from certain larger areas right now to prevent the issue.

In all honesty, I had no idea what you meant by "zone in". There is nothing at all in my post that could be considered "hostility". I simply said to look up the correct term that's used in RPG Maker and to use that, so people here would not have to make assumptions about what you said.

You can figure out whether it's script related or not by simply disabling all of your additional scripts. If it doesn't happen when your scripts are disabled, then it's script related. When you try that and decide whether it is or not, post back, and I'll move it to the scripts forum if it needs to go there. Also, if it IS script related (ie - works properly when those extra scripts are disabled), please also post links to each of the scripts you're using to make it easy for others to look them up (and to ensure they're looking at the same version as you).

It DOES sound like it might be script related, and that CP Script certainly sounds like it's a likely candidate, so please give a link to that one in particular (in fact, just disable THAT one and test without it, and see if it makes a difference)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
