Balloon Icon Help

Hello!

I am trying to make a series of NPCs that have balloon icons that appear over their head as they walk around, but still being able to talk to them. How would I do this? I am using the default icon balloons, and currently have no plugins that should affect the icon balloons. Is there any way that I can accomplish this through scripting?

You can set a parallel event to play on the NPCs. Make sure to leave wait until complete on.

How would you do this? I have tried this before, but then talking to the NPC is disabled.

Don't have the NPC on parallel. Instead have a seperate event for adding balloons over events.

Basically in the parallel event use the 'Show Balloon Icon' and select it to play on the NPC event(which you hopefully named to make it easier to find). Make sure to tick the 'Wait for completion' textbox.

@Sparrow20188102 What @SmashArt said. You could use an action event for the talking and a parallel event for the movement and bobble. I would use a switch to turn the parallel event off when triggering the action event and turn it back on when the event is over. otherwise the characcter will not stop to chat with you.
