Balloon icons and animations on followers?

Hey, I was making my game when I realized that you can't show balloon icons on the followers. It'd look very awkward if during the game a follower gets an idea and a lightbulb would appear over the hero instead of the follower who'd then tell said idea. Is there a way to make this work?

No - but it should be handled in a different way.


What you're talking about is a cutscene where you want to display to the player a conversation between party members.


But if you're doing a cutscene, you should not use followers anyway but real events pretending to be party members - because followers can't be controlled in any way.


When you plan to du such a cutscene, just disable followers and place events with the same sprites.

How do I define which balloon I want to display?

You choose it on player and just before that, you add a plugin command.

BalloonFollower 0 is for the playr (The first character in the party)

1 is the for first follower and so on.

For example:

BalloonFollower 1

Show Balloon Icon: Player, Sweat

This will show the balloon icon on your first followed.
