Introduction
This plugin allows you to play a Sound Effect when using the Show Balloon Icon on events.
 
Features
Along with being able to change the SE in use, the volume and pitch

it also has 4 plugin commands that you can use to change the settings mid-game!
 
BalpopSE name           Allows you to change the popup SE to another SE.
BalpopVol number      Allows you to change the SE volume to another value.
BalpopPitch number   Allows you to change the SE's pitch to another value.
BalpopDefault             Resets the values of all of the parameters to their default ones.
 
How to use
Add to your plugins folder.
It's plug-n-play, but make sure you have the SE needed in your game's SE folder. (The default one is Jump1)

Oh my god, I can't properly express how I love this!
Back in Ace I used to manually add the SE whenever I used a balloon. Thanks a lot!

Hey I ran into a small problem. No matter what I set the default sound to, it always uses "undefined.ogg" I rename jump1 to "undefined.ogg" and it worked.

But this could be troublesome if i want to change sound. Anyway I can get around this?

Did you right click and save as the JavaScript file above?

I had the same problem when I just opened it in GitHub and copied the text into a notepad to save as a .js

I think the file name etc of the plugin has to be exactly as it comes when you right click and save as, mentioned above.

Just like Syndicate said, the filename is very important because Javascript uses it to pass the parameters into variables. Thats probably why you get the undefined error. So make sure the .js has the filename that's in the header, or right click and save the link and it'll have the right name automatically
