Basic door event not fully working

Hi!

So I am trying to create an event with a door so when you walk up to it:

- It will animate open
- Player walks through
- Transport happens
- Once transported, take 1 step forward in new map.

I can get the first 3 points to work, but for the life of me, can't get the guy to move forward once in a new map.

If I have a normal transport event (map edge for example), I can get the player to move. But it seems the Switch Off event is messing with it for the door.

Sorry if this is simple, just really stuck!

I'm guessing they put an autorun event that made the player move forward 1 step then erases. That's what i would do.

What I would do is make the door event a single page rather than 2 pages, as the second page deactivates itself before the transfer happens, so the last command never runs.

No parallel process, no autorun, no self switches, no multiple event pages.

So I made a 3rd page too so that once the player is inside the building and then leaves, the door stays open and then closes behind them. New screenshots below.

Just finished v0.1 of FOSSIL. It's a plugin that lets you use MV plugins in MZ without editing them by making them use new functions.

I have about 40 plugins tested and working so far (including chrono engine and some other big ones). I hope that the community will pitch in and help improve it, so we can use all the old plugins in MZ. :)
I really lack discipline and find myself far too often giving into or at least seriously considering the temptation to start a new project rather than following through on a WIP that's no longer a shiny and new idea.

Does anyone have any strategies or tricks for making themselves follow through with things instead of doing this? Like that actually work?
I'm starting the "Switches lesson" on Learn MV today, what would you like to learn about them?
