Is there any way to force an animation on party members in battle through events (the show animation command only allows you to choose enemies, and the show animation command doesn't work in battle events)?

For the first turn after turn 0, try checking run at end of turn, then say to run it at turn 1. That should run it at the end of the first turn, after all actions.

RMMV
You could try a script call:

Code:
$gameActors.actor(actorId).startAnimation(animId)
replacing actorId and animId with the actual numbers.

Thanks! That should do it! I made some skills that do what I need it to do, and work better for the specific situation, but the script call option is definitely a workable solution as well!

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
