Hello!

I've got a script for my battles... the Galv's one who makes the battles side view and all.... it's awesome! But I can't find anywhere nice battle sprites for my characters or monsters so ...

With regret I will have to change it ( if no one knows how to make them easily or have a site that's available..)

I have no idea which one is the best for the '' front-view-with-face-sprite '' battle script thingy or just a nice battle script.

It would really help me and make my project advance !

Thanks a lot! :D

I use Battle Symphony with Holders Battle sprites addon. With these two I use a combination of custom sprites, ACE sprites and Holders sprites for my side view battles. It can be a pain to get your head around but once you've mastered the note-tagging its a great script.

I have yet to use Galv's but from what I have seen its a nice easy side battle script.

I've been working with VLUE's side battler Animations. I've had to work through a few kinks on it.

I originally downloaded and tried to use Holder's animations, but since my characters were generated using Mack's engine, I needed to create my own battlers using the Mack side view (moving left) and pixel edit them into a grid using Gimp. Gimp has the ability to turn on a Grid so your frames are obvious.

The Holder graphics are a great option if you do not want to create your own sprites, and your story can revolve around the characters he provides. If like me you are basing your game on a separate work already written/published, your descriptions should match your characters from the other work.

Sounds like there are several other side-battler options I need to investigate. I've still got some issues with VLUE's, mainly the Shadow Clone Jutsu that occasionally appears.

Also have an issue with action scripts being enacted twice per attack. Cute, but not exactly what I wanted. Other than those two it's a nice script.

I found it was also incompatible with Yanfly's Animated Battler, but performs the same function better.

If you don't want to add additional sprites/make your own, and wanted to keep the game download size as small as possible. Then you should probably stick to the default front view battle. A quick animation using flip can do the trick to live up the battlers without having to make a large sprite sheet for each of them. Give this script a try: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/52536-battlers-flip-animation/ if you are after that route.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
