Hello RPG Maker Web Forum Community, I have a bit of a favor to ask for the plugin makers here and I hope I am being courteous but I'm asking for someone to make a plugin that adds the battle doctrine system from Hearts of Iron 4.

Doctrines in HOI4 gives bonuses and abilities to suit one's playstyle such as Mobile Warfare focusing on bonuses to armored and motorised units with an emphasis on speed and breakthrough attacks or Mass Assault giving supply and defense bonuses that help with managing a massive army full of people.

This Battle Doctrine plugin will add a system in which players can expend special points earned in battle to unlock doctrine icons that give bonuses to party member's stats, and unlock magic/skills and classes. The player can only pick one doctrine at any given time and certain branches of each doctrine are mutually exclusive as seen in this example picture.

EXAMPLE DOCTRINES
  • Mobile Warfare: Increases Speed and Attack and unlocks the skill Blitz and the Tank class
  • Superior Firepower: Increases MAT and MDF as well as Critical Hit rate, unlocks the skill Barrage, and the Battle Wizard class
  • Grand Battleplan: Increases MP and Defense as well as Evasion rate, unlocks various support skills and the Paladin class
  • Mass Assault: Increases HP and Luck as well as Counter Attack rate, unlock Zerg Rush skill and Swarmer class

The Battle Doctrine plugin is also fully customizable allowing developers to change what stat bonuses/skills/classes/variables are given out as well as their layout as per the sample picture above.

Also...
  • Stat increases are done in percent in order to help scale with leveling up.
  • Skills can either be given to specific party members, classes or be given to all party members.
  • Classes can be unlocked if there is a way to already change classes (Perhaps if VisuStella wants to take this idea and run with it...)
  • Variables and Switches can be manipulated to make something dynamic out of the Battle Doctrine.
  • The pictures in the Battle Doctrine menu can use icons from the main icon sheet but if the developer wants, they can add the ability for the user to use a separate icon sheet and such feature is configurable in the main plugin menu.
  • Branches in each doctrine can be renames.
  • Mutual Exclusivity for branches in the Doctrines can be turned on or off.

There are a couple skill tree plugins that might be able to achieve this. I'm not familiar with the specifics of the system you're looking to recreate so I can't say for certain.

I didn't look closely at the tag, I'm not sure if there are nay skill tree plugins for MZ yet. You can check this list.

Its like a skill tree but its effects is applied to pretty much the entire party especially stat increases. I just want one like the doctrine system from HOI4 and I think its would be cool to have a sort of skill tree-like plugin that functions like how they work in Hearts of Iron 4.

EDIT: Basically it allows the player specialize in a specific play style when in battle.

It's definitely discouraging when streamers give a try-to-say-it-nicely (i.e. bad) review of your game demo. It's like jumping into a cold pool. Bad initally, but it gets better with time. And you are now more alert and see better.

Went to get some stuff for February 10, the birthday of my favorite ink monster...
I have a little one-person party for Bendy every year, complete with the life-size plushie I made. And yes, I bake a birthday cake!
