Hello! Im new to this forum and it seems very helpful on information topics.  So I have to ask.  Can anyone help me  with my current problem? I am using

Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Battle Engine v1.22  I like the  front  view battle  system and I intend to keep it that  way BUT it seems that when the  enemies attack they appear what looks like  behind the picture when i want it infront of the  picture and  I would also like the attacks to be centered on the  players picture.  when i use a  buff it happends  on the  top of the players picture instead of the bottom or  center.  I hope this makes sense and someone  can help me.

I'm not sure what you mean by "when the  enemies attack they appear what looks like  behind the picture when i want it infront of the  picture".  Looking at your image, they are in front of the battleback, so which picture are you referring to?

As for animations, as far as I know they always appear above the players' pictures, not on them.

well to make them appear centered on the picture, you need to find the part where it defines on that script where the animations will play and adjust them...

also, posting a link to the thread where you got the script is a highly recommended thing to do

Again I appologise if i dont make much  sense.  I have.... issues  with  putting my words on paper.  anyways  i got the  scripts  from

http://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/battle-scripts/ace-battle-engine/

I been looking for the  [X,Y] but I guess i dont know where im looking.   I mean is it  under,  Game_Battlerbase? Spriteset_Battle? Scene_Battle? Am I even close to looking in the right area?

Allso if you could look at the picture i posted to show what went  wrong.

Paul uses the  skill but i want it  to cover the picture as it happends.  not  above it.

I've moved this thread to RGSSx Script Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

I have seen a number of people posting about (I think) this script, where the animation plays below the player hud, and they want it to play above the player hud.

Is that what you mean? There are many "pictures" on the screen - you need to be specific. Is it the hud at the bottom, with the players' faces and stats, that you want the animation to play above?

Also, the animations are not intended to cover the WHOLE screen, just part of it. And you need to consider what is the target of the animation (in the animation tab) - it will either be head, center, feet, or screen.

I don't know the script well enough to say whether the issue is with the script, or just the default behaviour according to the way the animation is set up (as far as the position up/down goes).

Thank you for moving my post.  Im new here and i wasn't sure where to post it  at.  As for your  question please referr to the thumbnail on my  first post.  It  should explain alot better then i can with words.  And I will  try your  suggestion. Heres to hoping for the best.  Aslo yes im talking about the  face  pictures at the bottom of the  screen the  reprisents  the  character in question.

Tried  several  different  settings in Animations tab.  [Feet,Center,Screen, head] none of them changed the location animation of the  skill being used.  So it must be script work.

Chainer, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

- if you want to add more just edit your post.

Did you search to see who else has asked about it? I don't know the solution, but I do know people have asked about it before, so I suspect there might be a few replies.
