     So the apparent issue I'm having currently, is that when in testing my current skills w/ the battle test, and I choose the simple attack, it doesn't work. And at first I thought it was the enemy I quickly made, if it was the stats. Also I've removed all the skills except attack, if that does anything. My second issue, (sorry bout' that), is in battle again, and this time when guard is selected, the character instead does a skill that I've made. I have tried deleting the skill and putting it back, but it still has the characters do a skill instead of it's set of guard. 

Please if possible, someone please give me a tutorial, or a solution, ASAP

If you deleted all skills except attack, then you will also have deleted guard.  Skills #1 and #2 should always be left as the engine calls on them as the default.

What exactly do you mean when you say "it doesn't work"?  No damage? The enemy/actor just stands there doing nothing?  Something else?

As for a tutorial, the best place to start is Andar's thread.  You can find it here  Spending some time working through the things there will save you a huge amount of time and frustration later on.

The actor does not deal any damage, and says that the actor missed. I don't know if it's the formula or???

Did you get rid of ex-parameter hit in the actor or class screens in the database?  Also, what is the damage formula you are using(if it is not default)?

Did you make sure the class of the actor has a +to hit? If you didn't they will have a to hit of 0%, and will therefore, always miss. Always give your classes a base to hit so they can actually hit.

Otherwise, we would need to see your damage formula. If there are any errors in it, it will always return 0 (like say you typed a.atl instead of a.atk. That will result in a 0 on all attacks as a.atl is undefined).

I have left the attack skill at default, and I have.

Then chances are you either have your attack too low or the enemies defense too high. Though, if you are always missing (which is different from hitting and doing 0 damage), then there are two possibilities:

1: You have the to hit at 0%, set somewhere. Check everything.

2: You set the enemies EVA to 100%.

3: You did both.

Those are the only options here, unless you changed the battle system with a script.

Please post screenshots of the actor, its class, the enemy and the attack/guard skills.


There are a lot of things that could have gone wrong like mentioned above, and we need to see your current settings for everything to solve the problem.

These screenshots doesn't help at all.


I said we need to see all the settings to check where something could have gone wrong and asked for the screenshot to see everything, and then you cut away almost everything.


Especially the skill part is absolutely useless, because it doesn't show the important parts of the actor and the class...


Please repost the full screenshots for actor, class, enemy, attack and guard skills (including the IDs in the case of Attack and Guard)

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
